What is the NFPA-72 standard?
NFPA-72 is the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code from the U.S. National Fire Protection Association. It defines requirements for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of fire detection, notification, and suppression systems. It is the international reference adopted in Ecuador for corporate and public buildings.
Difference between addressable and conventional panels?
A conventional panel groups detectors by zones; when one activates, the panel only identifies the zone. An addressable panel identifies the specific detector (which sensor, which floor, which room), making response and maintenance much easier. For larger buildings, addressable is the right choice.
